Brennan is an extremely kind, experienced, and gifted natural Healer! He is Level 3 Reiki Certified, has undergone training in the LifeLine Technique and Myokinesthetic Technique, and has studied numerous additional healing modalities including: Reconnective Healing, Quantum Entrainment, and Matrix Energetics. He is also currently a Licensed Massage Therapist at Massage Envy in Naperville.

To Live Your Authentic Life or Not? …THAT is the question.

How many times have you caught yourself wishing, hoping, and praying that you could make a living doing what you LOVE – doing what you KNOW you were put on this Earth for – doing what you were BORN to do?

Admittedly, that is the question that keeps popping up in my own life as well as many people around me.

How can I live an Authentic life, being true to my Divine Authentic Self, but still make ends meet?


Unfortunately, I don’t have the answer to this question. However, I did get some pretty awesome insight as I was driving in my car today and I thought that I’d share it with you now:)

First, I would like you to answer this question…
What does “make ends meet” mean for you?
To many people, it means: being able to pay bills, have sufficient housing, clothing, food, and transportation, having quality healthcare, making sure the family is comfortable and taken care of, being able to enjoy entertainment once and awhile, and realistically maintaining some sort of “comfort” level that we have grown SO accustomed to in this country.

BUT…AH-HAH! That’s just it!!!
It is in this “comfort” level that we have grown up with and expect where we will find the double edge sword…stopping us from fully and truly embracing living our Authentic Lives.

Now, ask yourself this…
Who are you?
Many of you will describe yourself somewhat like this: I am a 32 year old suburbanite, married mother of three, and own a Holistic Healing Business. I am 5’6, weigh x lbs, have brown hair, blue eyes, and I like to do yoga, read, spend time in nature, listen to music, and enjoy my family and friends. I was born and grew up in IL in a conservative Catholic family of 5, blah, blah, blah….
I could go on and on about my physical, spiritual, political, and social attributes.

BUT…Is that who I REALLY am???
Is this outside shell of random qualities who any of us really are?

We touched on this in Meditation class the other week, and I think it applies so beautifully here.

We are a product of our environment. Period.
Yes, we form opinions, attitudes, and expectations throughout our lifetimes, but the point is this: We
would, without a doubt, describe ourselves MUCH differently if we were born in different circumstances, times, with different families, and different life
situations.
When we peel back all of these layers that have contributed to what we think we are, we discover we are just ONE CONSCIOUSNESS. We are AWARENESS. We are Divine LOVE.
That is all and that is everything.

It is through this love that we find Oneness, wholeness, and can operate void of all materialistic obstacles.

When we looked at our lives with an honest view, we can truthfully say to ourselves, “Yes, maybe I am afraid to live a life that will not monetarily compensate me greatly. I am afraid to downgrade. I like to go out to eat. I like to sit down in Starbucks and surf the Internet on my Laptop. I like to drive a nice car. I like to wear nice clothes. I like my IPhone, IPad, and IPod.”

The truth of the matter is most of us have grown up in a society that tells us this is how we should live. It is touted as the “American Dream.” Have your cake and eat it too. And no, there is nothing wrong with this! Yes, some of us can do what we love and make bank! However, most of us aren’t able to. When we start stripping down the layers and determining what is a “need” and what is a “want,” we will find we have very little needs and it does not require much to satisfy these needs. Many of these “wants” are things that make our ego selves feel very comfortable and secure.
But it’s a smokescreen!

When I was a younger, my family and I went on a 2 week vacation every year to a remote and small town in central WI. The tiny 1950’s cottage we stayed in had no phone, no cell service, no T.V., the floors and walls were old, cracked, and sandy, there were lots of bugs, the appliances were less than stellar; we had to even bring a coffee pot! The beautiful lake that we stayed on was a no-motor lake; only row boats and paddle boats. Not a lot of modern amenities or entertainment to say the least. I always threw a small tantrum the first night or two because it was a shock to my system to live in
that type of environment. I was totally disconnected from EVERYTHING!
BUT, it was the BEST thing for me and it will always be my most favorite spot on Earth!
Why?
Because I could find myself there. I connected with nature, myself, and the Divine in a way that I couldn’t at home with all of the modern distractions. I found silence. I found peace. I found that I really did not “need” all of those things that I thought I did to live. When stripped of all modern materialistic “wants” I found that I was ok and…wait for it...happier!!! I found that Divine Consciousness underneath all of my layers!

So, I ask you this…
What is stopping you from living a truly satisfying Authentic Life?
Your needs? … Or … Your fear of not having your “wants”?
 

HOLY COW guys!!
Nothing like a little Kundalini yoga to get that Spirit detoxified, energized, and ready to roll!!!

One HUGE idea that stuck with me last night as I
participated in this class was the main idea that Kundalini yoga is the yoga of TRUTH, the yoga of awareness, and helps you uncover the power to speak your Divine Truth! 

I speak so often about how I have been guided to use Reiki to help myself and other people uncover their Authentic and Divine Selves, void of fear
and other Earthly and materialistic things blocking your path. The main ideas presented by Kundalini reinforce this beautifully!

 Awakening your True Self is quite the process. It is many times not a pretty or easy process and has many tall hills and deep valleys. BUT, it is an extremely beautiful and rewarding process and it all starts with Awareness and Truth:
~Being TRUE to your Divine self
~Being TRUE to your given path
~Not apologizing for who you REALLY are and what your Divine mission is in this lifetime.
~Having the strength and wisdom to RELEASE all that does not serve you and your path in the most positive way
~Having the insight to LEARN and ASK for help along the way
~Demonstrating the PATIENCE needed to let situations unfold how they are supposed to and using your Divine INTUITION to act accordingly and learn from them!

WOW!! It seems daunting, but there is tremendous beauty in watching a caterpillar transform into a magnificent butterfly, and it all starts with the TRUTH of who you are really supposed to be!

I leave you all today with the words "Sat Nam," which in Kundalini mean, "Truth is my identity."

Hello beautiful Spirits! I am back from a self-imposed small public break!;) Wow, what a ride these last few weeks have been. I have literally been INUNDATED with new energies, emotions, and the biggest thing - deeeep AWARENESS!! I feel like my head has literally exploded with new thoughts and emotions from several recent deep Awakening experiences and I needed a small "time-out" to process all of this and let it sink in. Old layers are shedding so quickly, it's got my head spinning, and new thoughts, truths, and lessons are filling my Spirit.


What an amazing time this is for so many of us! So what is the best way to handle these experiences? How do we cope while all of these old emotions and
patterns are surfacing for cleansing and release and new ones are arriving for implementation?

This will be something I will continue speaking about
over the next few months, a little at a time, but here is an overview for coping that I have found helpful:
New Energy “Coping Map”
~Put Yourself In A Self-Imposed "Time-Out"!!!!!
Seriously. Give yourself permission to take a BREAK from life's little craziness for a few days or even just a couple minutes a day. Work to remove the excessive noise around you and any extra demands.

~Be Gentle With Yourself
Gently let go of old thought patterns, emotions, feelings that surface without becoming too attached.

 ~Keep A "Detached" View
Keeping detached or an outside-looking-in view of what is going on, can give you a solid perspective of the situation and how to move forward in a Divinely-guided manner. 

~Keep Your Intuition Open
Keep your Intuition and 3rd Eye awake for Divinely-inspired guidance! Be extra aware of small gut reactions, feelings, and pulls.
 
~Take Notes
Record your feelings, thoughts, intuition, dreams, and any visions that you receive. It will all make sense one day - I Promise!!

 ~Become Aware and Release
Become aware of the fear and ego-based thoughts and actions holding you back from achieving your
Divine path. Attempt to live in a Conscious state, being aware of every action and thought you take vs a Sub-conscious state guided by fear and ego. Release the fear and ego to fully embrace living in Awareness.

 ~Take Action
When you feel Divinely-guided to act, then move, and put those thoughts, ideas, and visions into ACTION without fear and ego standing in your way.

 ~Protect Yourself
Always protect your personal energy and space. Keeping a fully charged and detoxified energy body and surrounding space is crucial for living a Divine path. Keep yourself grounded, surrounded by White Light, and void of negativity and darkness.

 ~Ask For HELP!!!
The most crucial step:) There are many other people experiencing the same thing as you are right now. Do not be afraid to reach out and ask for assistance in coping! Many wise and experienced people are available to guide your and help you. Even a dear friend lending an ear is a comfort and a tremendous help. Connect with those around you and find support in your community!

 ~Use Your Tools
You can also ease these growing pains by meditating, praying, connecting with nature, utilizing
crystals or aromatherapy blends to assist your growth, enjoying a Reiki session or other Holistic Wellness Service, and any other activity that you are
naturally drawn to that brings you inner peace and understanding.

You are loved and supported in the most perfect and Divine way possible.

2012 was such a momentous year for Om Sweet Om!

This year I "birthed" the biggest, most amazing creative endeavor of my life (besides my children)! I let go and opened myself up to infinite possibilities and followed the path that has been Divinely laid out for me, devoid of fear or judgement from those around me. Trust, love, and faith in the Divine has been my rock and I look forward to growing, learning, and serving in the coming year!

Well, the end did not happen for us on this momentous day;) However it is only the BEGINNING!!! Can you feel it? 

The energy in the air is vibrant and motivating. Act on that still, small voice urging for an increase in your awareness and awakening. This world is in need of people acting out of love and light. Participate in this Divine push for positivity by raising your vibration and demanding more of yourself and the world. Yes, growing pains are a part of maturing, but we can overcome them if we stick together and move forward as One!

What if we all took a few quiet moments to ask ourselves this question, “What am I truly passionate about?”

What if we all took these few minutes to look deep in our hearts to discover what humanitarian issue stirs our soul?
 
We all have AT LEAST one major humanitarian concern that touches our hearts deeply and passes through our minds incessantly. Some of us have many;) These can be things like: Word Hunger, Global Warming, Pollution, Education, Poverty, Energy Waste/Efficiency, Food, Alternative Energy Sources, Health Care, Disease, Violence, Preserving our Natural Resources, and the list goes on and on.
 
What if each of us made the decision, this minute, to DO something about the issue that concerns us the most? What if - instead of merely thinking about this issue for a moment then turning your attention back to your To-Do list - you actually decided to take ACTION? Action can be as simple as posting something on your Facebook or blog. It can be researching your interest. It can be creating and spreading awareness. It can be writing your local senator or representative. It can be volunteering. It can be joining an action group. 
 
What if we ALL took action and responsibility for the individual issues that concern us? How would our World look?

We are responsible for shaping our World. We have the POWER to do so. We were all put on this planet for Divine missions. With this Gift of Life we all have been given the opportunity to make a difference. What are you going to do with your gift? We all can be the change that we want to see in the World, but it requires us to actually DO something about it instead of just thinking about it. Change requires ACTION. Change can be difficult, but is absolutely necessary to make a positive difference. When we
work together towards positive goals, anything is possible!

So, I ask
you…
What exactly is it that resonates with your heart, mind, and soul?

What if you decided, right now, to BE the change you want to see?
